RII Competency Courses – Mackay
Momentum High Risk Training (RTO 46410) delivers nationally recognised Resources & Infrastructure Industry (RII) competency training in Mackay for civil construction, mining, ports and heavy industry environments.
Training can be completed at our purpose-built Mackay training centre or delivered onsite at your workplace (subject to suitability and equipment requirements).
Our RII training packages and competency-based courses cover a wide range of plant, equipment and safety disciplines including:

RII Training Packages & Units of Competency
Each RII competency course is delivered in accordance with nationally endorsed training package requirements. Courses consist of one or more Units of Competency, incorporating structured training, practical assessment (where applicable), and formal competency-based evaluation.
Our training materials and delivery approach are aligned with civil construction and infrastructure industry standards to ensure practical, workplace-relevant outcomes.
We also offer:
- Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) — where appropriate, experienced workers may apply for RPL. Evidence of prior industry experience, qualifications and workplace competency will be assessed in accordance with Standards for RTOs.
- Refresher Training — designed to update existing skills and address identified competency gaps for experienced operators.
