About this course
The forklift logbook setup (1st day), the student will be shown through the full forklift presentation, be shown and then demonstrate safely operating a forklift, including prestart checks, operational checks, post operational checks.
Once you have completed your formal training day, your trainer will issue you with a logbook and discuss with you the requirements of gaining mandated hours in this logbook and complete informal training within your working environment. You must have a person at your workplace with a current HRWL – LF, who can supervise you and sign off your logbook hours.
Once you have logged the appropriate number of mandated nominal hours (as stated by your assessor), you can then commence the booking process to attend an assessment session. The Assessment day is always the 3rd day of a regular 3 day course.
Training and Assessment of the HIGH RISK FORKLIFT (LF) Licence is conducted over 1 day.
This option may be suitable for participants who have access to a workplace where they are able to gain logbook hours, with an immediate supervisor that holds a current HIGH RISK FORKLIFT (LF) Licence, who is able to supervise work performed.

Training requirements
The following are required to commence enrolment in this forklift licence QLD course:
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of training
- 100 points of identification (Click here for Work Safe QLD’s ID requirements)
- USI number (Click here to obtain a USI number)
- Be able to read and write in plain English
The following are required on the day of training and assessment:
- 100 points of identification (Click here for Work Safe QLD’s ID requirements)
- Steel capped/composite boots
- Long-sleeved, high visibility shirt (high visibility vests available for loan)
- Long pants
- Hard hat (some are available for loan on the day)
Momentum High Risk Training will provide all training materials and stationery.
- You’re welcome to bring your own lunch as fridges and crib rooms are available for use; or
- Various lunch options are available close by at the Mackay Harbour
Course outcomes

You will receive a Statement of Attainment in TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck issued by Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485) and a Candidate Assessment Summary will be emailed once you have been deemed competent.
To apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), please contact Work Safe QLD online within 60 days of your completed assessment. Please retain your Candidate Assessment Summary (CAS) as proof of evidence until your HRWL arrives by mail.
