Successful completion enables eligible participants to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (WP class) through WorkSafe Queensland.
This 2-Day Accelerated Course is designed for participants with previous industry or workplace experience who are familiar with workplace safety practices, hazard identification and risk controls.
Suitable experience may include working within construction, mining, trades, workshops, transport, warehousing, manufacturing, ports, sugar or similar industrial environments. Previous experience operating an EWP is not required.
The accelerated format allows participants to apply their existing workplace knowledge and experience while developing the EWP-specific knowledge and practical skills required by the unit. The course includes training and assessment over two full days face-to-face at our training facility, with additional training or learning support provided where required.
This structured delivery model provides dedicated theory and practical training, with appropriate opportunities for instruction, practice, feedback and assessment to develop and demonstrate the knowledge and practical skills required by the unit.
Previous EWP operating experience is not required.
Participants who are new to industry, have limited workplace experience, have limited English language skills, require additional language, literacy or learning support, or would benefit from additional training and practical time are strongly encouraged to select our Standard 3-Day EWP Course.
