About this course

This CPCCLSF3001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding – Intermediate Level course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform intermediate scaffolding work in accordance with WHS legislation and industry standards.

This course is delivered at the Momentum High Risk Training facility under a formal third-party arrangement with Halo Nation Training, the RTO responsible for the delivery, assessment and issuance of certification for this unit of competency.

Halo Nation Training is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that holds this unit on scope and will issue the Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.

The Following Topics Are Covered:

  • Plan and prepare intermediate scaffolding work activities
  • Erect, alter and dismantle cantilevered and hung scaffolds
  • Install and dismantle spurred and barrow ramp scaffolds
  • Apply advanced hazard identification and risk control measures
  • Inspect scaffolding structures for compliance and safety
  • Complete post-operational procedures and secure equipment

The Intermediate Scaffolding (SI) High Risk Work Licence authorises the holder to perform intermediate scaffolding work as defined under WHS Regulations.

Pre-requisite

Participants must hold a current High Risk Work Licence – Basic Scaffolding (SB) prior to enrolment in this course.

Training requirements

Enrolment Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of assessment
  • Provide 100 points of identification
    (
    WorkSafe QLD ID requirements
    )
  • Hold a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier)
    (
    Obtain a USI here
    )
  • Be able to read, write and communicate in plain English to a level sufficient to safely participate in training and assessment
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic calculations relevant to scaffolding tasks

Requirements on the Day of Training & Assessment

  • Original 100 points of identification (as per WorkSafe QLD requirements)
  • Steel-capped or composite safety boots
  • Long-sleeved high-visibility shirt (high-visibility vests available for loan)
  • Long work pants
  • Hard hat (limited supply available for loan)

Momentum High Risk Training will provide all required training materials and stationery.

  • Fridges and crib facilities are available for use at the MHRT training facility
  • Multiple lunch options are located nearby at Mackay Harbour

Course outcomes

Certification & Licensing

This course is delivered at the Momentum High Risk Training facility under a formal third-party arrangement with Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485).

Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a
Statement of Attainment for CPCCLSF3001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding – Intermediate Level
by Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485).

A Candidate Assessment Summary (CAS) will also be provided once competency has been achieved.

To obtain a High Risk Work Licence – Intermediate Scaffolding (SI), participants must apply directly to

WorkSafe Queensland

within 60 days of completing assessment.

Competency in this unit does not in itself result in a licence. A licence is granted by the relevant WHS Regulator after assessment under applicable Commonwealth, state or territory work health and safety legislation.
